Installing Bootstrap Gem in Rails App

It is very important to create a nice design for your website but it is also important that your website would be responsive (Compatible for All Electronic Devices ). Bootstrap is a framework for front end developers. It helps developers to create a responsive design more quickly and easily. But in the rails app, the bootstrap installing technique is a little bit different. Follow the steps to install bootstrap in Rails app.

Open you Gem File in Rails App add the following command.

gem 'bootstrap-sass', '~> 3.3.7'

After this command type in terminal window

bundle install

then restart your server. After restarting the server open the following file

app/assets/stylesheets/application.scss

After opening this file type this following command

@import "bootstrap-sprockets";
@import "bootstrap";

Now your Bootstrap is installed and ready to use in your whole app.
